There is an abundant supply of excellent drinking water, thus avoiding the shortages regularly experienced in some other areas.

The historic town of Gandia is the capital of La Safor. Gandia is a bustling Mediterranean town offering great shopping and countless bars and restaurants. There is an excellent rail link to Valencia with trains every 30 minutes and very low fares.

Valencia is the third largest city in Spain and has been described as "Paris with palm trees". Attractions include its stunning Victorian railway station, Roman bullring and its newly opened science park, Aquarium and Planetarium.
